You need to be able to hit the ground running, so providing you can demonstrate your solid writing skills, your interest and knowledge in public relations as a career, and your sound commercial skills, you will be in a good place to get this job.
Your role will include writing for and working with the media, trade, regional and national to get your clients message across in the correct way, liaising with the client and your team to ensure that all campaigns are managed to budget and on time, and generally ensuring that the client experience of working with the agency is profitable, pleasurable and purposeful.

ITV news jobs to go at Bristol HQ

We are sad to hear the news about the 85 job losses at Bristol HQ for ITV West, following the long-planned merger of ITV West and West Country. We are puzzled regarding the content planning and wonder how local news can be made relevant across the South West, one of the UK’s largest regions. Is news from Cheltenham relevant to the public in Cornwall? We will let you decide… In any case, our thoughts are with our ITV contacts in these uncertain times.

A spokesman for the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) said: “Unless ITV meaningfully engages with unions over its plans for the future of regional news, industrial action seems inevitable.
“Any attempts to force through these massive cuts will be met with strong resistance.”
